In October, I was fortunate to be the wedding photographer for Stacey and Matthew\u2019s <\/span>Athlone wedding. Their ceremony was held at St. Brigid\u2019s Church and their wedding reception was at the <\/span>Radisson<\/span> Blu in Athlone. <\/span>It was a pleasure to photograph their love.<\/span><\/p>\n

Athlone Radisson Blu<\/span>\u00a0Wedding Photography<\/span><\/h2>\n

Unfortunately, the bride’s brother<\/span>,<\/span> Dermot<\/span>,<\/span> missed the wedding ceremony because he was playing in a GAA Intermediate Hurling County Final with the Clara hurling team. <\/span>I was able to photograph him<\/span> with the bride before the ceremo<\/span>ny. They <\/span>went on to <\/span>w<\/span>i<\/span>n the match by beating <\/span>Seir<\/span> Kieran 2-11 to Clara 2-15<\/span>! I was happy to get a chance to photograph the two of them ahead of the wedding ceremony at St. Brigid\u2019s and Dermot made the reception afterwards. <\/span><\/p>\n

Stacey and Matthew <\/span>brought their cute dogs to the church for the ceremony<\/span>. I loved how they decided to include their dogs in their wedding day.<\/span> <\/span>The two pups<\/span> <\/span>ca<\/span>me with us for the wedding portraits after<\/span> the ceremony<\/span>. You\u2019ll see them in a few of their wedding pictures! <\/span><\/p>\n

After the ceremony, we headed to the Luan Gallery<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and <\/span>Se\u00e1n<\/span>\u2019s<\/span> Bar<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in Athlone for <\/span>some<\/span> wedding photos. <\/span>Taking wedding photos at the Luan Gallery was fun. The bridal party was full of joyful excitement which made for fun pictures with the eclectic artwork on display. <\/span>Se\u00e1n<\/span>\u2019s<\/span> Bar is the oldest pub in Ireland, right on the bank of the River Shannon<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span>I captured<\/span> some photos of the happy husband and wife as they celebrated with a pint. <\/span>They finished off their wedding day with a reception at The Radisson Blu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Weddings at The Radisson Blu are always stunning. With a waterfront location and scenic views of both the town and the river, it provided a lovely backdrop for Stacey and Matthew\u2019s celebration. The large ballroom was able to house all their family and friends for their wonderful wedding celebration.<\/span><\/p>\n

I recently caught up with Stacey and Matthew <\/span>after their Radisson Blu wedding to ask them about their wedding day and what advice they had for other couples.<\/span><\/p>\n

How<\/span> did you meet? <\/span><\/h3>\n

Matthew and I met o<\/span>nline<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

How<\/span> did he propose? <\/span><\/h3>\n

On a flight to Munich (not over the intercom!)<\/span><\/p>\n

What<\/span> was important for you both when planning your wedding? <\/span><\/h3>\n

When we were planning our wedding, it was most important t<\/span>hat it be stress-free with the least amount of hassle possible<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Where<\/span> did you get your dress? <\/span><\/h3>\n

My gown was from <\/span>Belle Marie<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in<\/span> <\/span>Athboy<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

What<\/span> do you remember most from the ceremony?<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

What<\/span> was special to you in the ceremony? <\/span><\/h3>\n

The music by my uncle, cousins and <\/span>neighbours<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

How<\/span> did you choose the Radisson Blu? <\/span><\/h3>\n

We were limited to hotels due to our large numbers. We chose the Radisson<\/span> Blu, Athlone<\/span> because of the<\/span>ir<\/span> modern ballroom and the view over the river<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

What<\/span> was your <\/span>favourite<\/span> part of the wedding day? <\/span><\/h3>\n

The meal<\/span>,<\/span> when I got to talk to people<\/span>!<\/span><\/p>\n

Have<\/span> you any advice for future couples planning their wedding? <\/span><\/h3>\n

The day goes by very fast so try to take in as much as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
